"Go through the camp and tell the people to get ready, in three days you will cross the river and take the land that has been given for you as your own" Joshua 1:11.

Joshua Campaign was formed with a mission to go through the camp and tell the church - It is time to finish the "assignment". 2000 years has gone and it is uncompleted, NOT finished! But now is the time!    

All over Ethiopia but also in Kenya and other countries Joshua Campaign gathers thousands of pastors and leaders to Gospel Revolution seminars, challenging them to complete the "assignment".  Recently in Durami January the 30th to February the 1st 2003 we witnessed the largest leadership gathering ever happened in our seminars. 14,500 leaders came for 3 days of challenge, it was truly awesome!

 MOBILIZATION WITH RESPECT TO STREET CHILDREN AWARENESS         

Street children are a growing problem. HIV/AIDS is one of the main reasons why children are left alone on the streets. This is heartbreaking. Is this the children Jesus talked about when he said: "let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these". Every time we have a Gospel Campaign, the street children have been brought into focus.

Let us introduce Tomas to you; he is a twelve-year-old boy from the Southern Region of Ethiopia. We met Tomas in Sodo, on the first day of our Street Children's Crusade. As Jennifer Hargestam walked into the church to prepare for the program she noticed a little body lying on a pile of blankets in the back of the Church. She went back to see him and he looked as if he was on his last breath. He was bleeding from his ears and nose and she was told that he was dieing of kidney failure due to Yellow fever. The hospital had sent him away to die, as they were unable to help him and he found the church as a shelter. Jennifer and a team from Joplin sat and cried as they heard that Tomas was from a remote area in Ethiopia, when his mother died, his father had sent Tomas to become a beggar. Tomas made the long journey to the city of Sodo, and for months hew lived on the streets begging and living off the food found in trashcans. He was alone with no one to care for him.   

Karl and Bro. Ming came to the street children's meeting and they laid their hands on Tomas and prayed. The Holy Spirit told Karl that Jesus was healing Tomas and was raising him up to become a mighty man of God. Life returned to Tomas and he stood up from his deathbed to become a testimony in front of all the street children. On the last day of our Crusade, Tomas gave his testimony how Jesus healed him before the whole city. The crowd of 50,000 rejoiced and Tomas had already become a mighty witness for Jesus. Tomas is now being cared for by a Christian family, he is attending school for the first time. His new family has taken him in as their son. We know God has a great work for Tomas! 

Our Street Children's Crusade has touched so many lives just like Tomas. When we have the Street Children's Crusades many children accept Jesus, and for most homeless kids it is the first time they hear the words: "I love you". Many of the Christians respond to the great call and open up their homes and take children in. One individual cannot fix this tremendous problem, but if we work together we can make a difference. We are called to reach out to "the least of these", please pray for and support this project.
