WORANCHA 

Just 30 years ago the town of Worancha could not be reached by car, the Gospel came by evangelist walking or riding a donkey. The people of Worancha were violent spirit worshipers, it was the central place to worship demons. People traveled many miles to invite evil sprits and give sacrifices.

        With history like this, the spiritual strong holds are very evident. However, through the blood of Jesus these evil holds are being broken, and that is what we saw in our last crusade. By the thousands people came to the Joshua Campaign Crusade, and met the power of God. 1 Cor. 1:18, says, "The preaching of the cross to them who perish foolishness, but unto us who are saved, it is the power of God." Many understood the power of God because they accepted the cross and the blood that was shed for them.

        This particular crusade was very unique, the presence of God was so strong and many people were miraculously healed. It is difficult to report every healing ; the deaf received hearing, the blind could see and crippled was able to walk. One man had such a large tumor on his leg he could not walk, the great physician removed that tumor completely. What a wonderful sight to see these people rejoice because they witnessed the power of God like never before.

        An older lady came forward because she was deaf for 12 years, this caused her so much grief. She could not communicate to anyone. She came to the crusade wishing and hoping God would heal her and He did. The joy that flooded her can not be explained. We Give our Lord the Glory.

        The people of Worancha who once gave themselves completely to evil spirits are being set free by the power of God. And their worship to evil has and will continue to diminish and change to worshipping the Creator God. He is the Victor and that is what we, with the thousands of people of Worancha, experienced at the Worancha crusade. WORANCHA-JANUARY, 1999

DAYE- APRIL, 1999

HAGRA MARIAM

  Seeing a city being toughed by the simple message of the cross, transformed and never the same again, has been our privilege once again. We were preparing to go to a city named Hagre Mariam, but called "the blood city". Less than a year ago a tribe called Guji (on of the most feared in Ethiopia) that is bordering this town invaded and slaughtered many of the people in Hagra Mariam. They say that the streets were covered in blood from men and women killed in the streets. That is were the name "the blood city " came from. As we were preparing to go to this city it was clear that Satan had a strong grip on this town, many were involved in witchcraft and other evil things.

        The Lord has made it clear to us and confirmed it by experience that the "store house" is in Africa, Ethiopia or in the specific city we try to reach. Meaning; all the churches of born again believers together, in the specific area is having the power and authority to change their city, region or country; if they can unity and proclaim with one voice "Jesus is Lord", and He, and only He is the way, the truth and the Life. Psalm 133 tells us how the blessing of God is commanded there, the anointing is there and the prayer that Jesus prayed in John 17 for all believers becomes true "May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me" (Jn 17:23) - what we believe may divide us, but in whom we believe should unite us.

        We were able to form a fellowship of the churches in Hagra Mariam and start the work with the "store house", as time were passing the spiritual climate started to change, and some weeks before the Lord dropped a word in our heart. "Pray that Hagra Mariam will be called the blood city because it has been washed by the blood of Jesus". As the meetings started on August 5 we were full of faith and confident that this would be the case. As the meetings started the largest gathering they ever had in this area were there, it has been reported that the communist regime with all its weapons were not able to gather that amount of people when they tried with guns and force. The precious power of the Holy Spirit.

        We can boldly say that everyone heard the gospel, from the poorest to the richest and many people responded, so many demon possessed people were delivered we had to get another tent for deliverance prayer. Blind eyes were opened and many were touch by the healing power of Jesus. A statement was made on the last day that "this town (Hagra Mariam) is now, not the blood city because the work of Satan, but because it has been marked by the blood of Jesus". But even greater, on the last day, close to 1000 men and woman responded to a call to become missionaries, going to near by tribes that have not had one chance to respond to the Gospel. What an army! What a crown of this campaign…

        How alive is the words written by the prophet Isaiah 700 b.c, when he say’s in sh. 18:7 "At that time gifts will be brought to the Lord Almighty" After a time of pruning as this nation just have seen they will turn to the Lord with stretched hand (Ps 68:31) laying souls before the throne. (gifts)

        "Ethiopia shall stretch her hands to God" (Ps. 68:31) As Joshua Campaign is going from city to city we are privileged to see this come to pass.

HAGRA MARIAM- AUGUST, 1999

SHASHEMENNE

            We once again witnessed a city transformed by the Love of Jesus Christ and the simple Gospel message. The city of Shashemanne, this city has been known for not responding easily to proclamation of the Gospel. We recognize and give thanks to all that have joined us in prayer and faith for this endeavor.

            It is by faith and petition that the hand of God is moved and as we witnessed during the weekend days, a crowd of 40 000 people ( almost the whole town at once)coming to hear the Gospel, many responding to the call of repentance and salvation through the blood of Jesus. It became real the promise given to the Lord in Psalm 2:8 "Ask of me, and I will make the Nations you inheritance"

            We have been commissioned to make disciples of all Nations, and we have the privilege to ask boldly as we have gone in obedience..To Him be all the Glory, Honor and Praise.

            We ask you to continue pray for good follow up. Pray also for the many street children that were taken of the streets, feed 300-400 children every day and many of them got exposure to families willing to adopt or become a guardian.

            Many responded to this challenge, but many remain homeless on the streets of this city. Pray that the impact the Gospel have had in the lives of many will become evident in the city as many of the poor are becoming helped.
